I love to doodle in my notebooks during class. It's sometimes the only thing that gets me through a class.. eesh.. those 8am ones are usually the worst.

A little sketchy of my brains dripping out of my ear during recitation for Physics II. It was an 8am course and the professor who directed the class was a bitter man.

Came out at random during Calculus III, sometime last year. It was supposed to be based off of an anime character. Didn't really turn out that way, but it's not horrible either.

Based off of two characters from a dream I had. The one on the left sorta was supposed to look like me (I wish my face were that thin again.. college makes you gain or lose weight, but this time around I'm gaining ;_; ) ..and the one on the right was the leader of this group of superheroes. It was a nifty dream. I started writing it as a story a while back.

I had an internship last year and also first started watching Naruto last year. After a while, I realized that the "e" of our logo reminded me a bit of the Hidden Leaf Village symbol. This is the result :P

I'm usually not a big fangirl of many male video game characters (Megaman was more of a hero and my imposed imaginary friend when I was a kid and NiGHTS is more of a friend - he kind of showed up at a rough patch in my life and dared me to dream) ..but Kane from Shining Force was my big crush when I was a kid. He had awesome hair and appealed to me for some reason.

*taking out link, 'cause I don't know if photobucket is going to get on my case about it (they got rid of a few pix I had, 'cause they violated some policy..) *
I wish there was more artwork out there.. seems like Shining Force kind of had a small following, anyway. Most of the people I've talked to haven't heard of it or they were into either Phantasy Star (even though that's rare) or Final Fantasy.

Got lots and lots of fun pictures to draw. Just hoping that this week shapes up better than the weekend seemed to suggest.. ::happy thoughts.. happy thoughts..::

Thanks for the comments :)

SiLK - your art is really good! (I'm really looking forward to seeing that Claris & Elliot picture!) Besides, you're better at plushies than I am.
Ideya Fairy - you're a doodler too? hehe. I'd like to see some of yer doodles :D

Been browsing through my various files on my computer and cleaning/organizing some stuff. Stumbled across a few goodies that I kinda like.

First up, one of my more intensive works for the first time in a while. I call it 'Melatonin.' Started it one of the last few times my boyfriend came up to visit because I was having a number of problems getting and staying asleep. So, while he was sound asleep and I was wide awake, I got up and started drawing. Outlined everything all with random ink pens of mine, a futile attempt to dwindle down their numbers (yet, I barely used half of a pen on the whole thing). Then, started coloring it with prisma markers and pencils. I'd work on it every night after I took my melatonin until it kicked in and I got sleepy..

Second, one of my first few Photoshops from ages ago. I drew the line art while in high school classes (really, a dumb attempt to grab a new friend's attention since I was very envious of her manga-esque drawing skills). Sunday nights, I'd try to stay up as late as I could to watch episodes of The Critic on Comedy Central to get my fix, and in between, I must've seen an ep or two of Cowboy Bebop. I like Faye, dunno what it is about her. So, I figured I'd draw some fanart. Got ambitious and started coloring it, and this is the result:

I'm not happy with her fingers or her eyes/forehead, but otherwise it was kinda fun.

Wow, that first picture is wild! You really ought to blow that up and have it framed, it's cool!

And Faye looks fine to me. I love the shine on her hair!

I've been really considering getting prints of 'melatonin' made and selling them. DevArt doesn't seem like the best place to go through, since their markup and artist profit aren't so great without a print account.. but it's probably the same hassle with purchasing prints at a shop and re-selling them.

I really don't know, but I can ask my mom.
She might know either, but she used to run a framing business and may have heard it talked about.

Wow, I only just now got to look at this. Your art is really something. I really love the Melatonin picture. The colors are wonderful.

Thanks, Yami! :)

Here are a few new pictures to look at. They're slightly old, though... they've been rotting in a few neglected sketchbooks for a while. I got bored the other day and thought it would be fun to kind of mishmash everything together ..(if photobucket will ever upload everything.. T_T ..laggy cafe internet..).

Sketchy stuff:

Pen stuff:

Feeling lazy and not like explaining anything at the moment. Feel free to ask about any of the drawings! Now, excuse me while I fall asleep...

wow, that first piece is a little violent, with the impending stabbing of that imp thinger XD

Those are excellent, though! It's great to see someone's doodlings as well as their serious art :)

Oh very nice. Doodling is always good practice and is needed in order to do great artwork. That and doodles sometimes come out totally awesome.

I like the guy in the first pic on the bottom right hand corner. He looks like he came from the Invader Zim series.

Yikes, I didn't even think twice when I put the picture together and posted it.. the Amazon and the imp-thing were the result of playing far too much Diablo II the year before last. It spawned a ton of doodles in my notebooks. My boyfriend has most of my drawings, since I'd draw pictures for him while I was at work and the day was slow. One of my favorites was a chibi drawing of my character (a Necromancer named Adagio) and his fire golem, and his characters (barbarian and a Sorceress).

Story behind the amazon was that she was demanding answers from the imp-thing. Sometimes it takes a bit of force...

XD
The guy in the bottom right was from a conversation about annoying words (the kind that have been freely mutated thanks to people on the internet). I drew his discontent.

Sketch pic:
Top left - Kia, from Krakow online comic. Fan art doodle that I never finished.

Top right - Steve Vai from a guitar magazine, drawn at Borders in 10 minutes

Second down on left - "Super Colossal" ..me (when I still had longer hair) riding on the shoulder of a giant Joe Satriani through the city.. inspired by the album by the same name.

Second down on right - Based on a thought I had while at work back when I was still an intern. The scatterbrained good-looking scientist on the right (my boss was devastatingly handsome, smelled wonderful, and had that beautiful French accent), and the lab assistant on the left -- no, it's not supposed to be me, but a brief idea I had for a comic that never happened.

Third on left, already explained above..

Third on right, Elf-type character drawn in my physics lab class.. no special story.

Bottom left - Sans-ol, my angel-boy character from a story I wrote for my creative writing class. He was restored as an angel after a rather gruesome battle throughout the history before the story begins.
