Ah, ringing in the bells. We Scots tend to celebrate new year more than we do Christmas, so it goes without saying, around here, new year's eve ( or Hogmanay, as we call it ) is usually the sight of street parties and much drinking.
In here, we usually set up the main table with a variety of foods, from sarnies to sausage rolls, and lots of drinks, both alcoholic and not ( I never touch the booze, it hates me and I hate it in return ). And shortbread. Can't forget the shortbread ( though I've kinda eaten a box a little early, ahaha XD ). Then when the clock strikes midnight it's newyear's toasts, hugs and kisses ( eargh! ) and mucho munching XD
Oh, and can't forget that new year's TV with the Scottish folk music. Though this year might be a little musicless unless we get that TV fixed XD
...with song!
