no, i don't mean ballad of dreams. but i'd like to try and write up a NiGHTS audio drama. another writer or two would be awesome. and a remixer. and voice actors, for that matter. i'm over on the vaa, and could probably get a remixer and va's there, but another writer would probably be better found here.

I do have some interest on the writing portion of the audio drama. I have been studying screenwriting for a while now, but I've been writing in general for seven years now.

I would like to help with the voices and mixing, but I don't know how to do either. I can act, but I don't have a microphone.

Can you PM or Email me your ideas for the Drama? I would like to know your ideas.

I have seen some interest on the voice acting, i can try to make a voice of someone you like^^

hmmm... it'll be a while before we'll start worrying about va's. but i'll keep you in mind. do you have a masculine or feminine voice?

I can do both, i think, since when i was a child, i loved to make voices, i can even make a feminine voice^^

You should definitely call me when you're ready for VA's.

Okays, up to epi 3 is written, and once i send it through pickle, it'll be up to four. i'm thinking of (but am going to get clearence on) once we get the first five epis written, starting looking for a mixer and va's. we need no more writers, since three is plenty, but if you're interested in voice acting/mixing, we'll probably be doing that kind of thing soon.

Okays, few notes for these auditions.
First, if you’re going for NiGHTS, Reala, or any of the four kids, don’t do a British accent unless it sounds/is authentic. And if you put it in your auditions, that means you’re telling me you can commit to that manner of speech.
Second, feel free to audition for several characters. I don’t really care one way or another. Just make sure they’re labeled separately.
Third, this is going up on three sites, so you’re going to have some hefty competition. Also, if you’re on two of those sites and go by two different names, send me the one you want me to credit you with. You know who you are.
Fourth, this is only the first five episodes. There's gonna be 15 in all. There'll be more parts later.
Fifth, and this is most important- this is how I want stuff sent to me.
-Please make it free of background static (and if you can avoid having an echo, that’d be great.)
-MP3 format’s preferred. I’ll see about other formats once I get a remixer.

Base story: (Just so you know what’s going on…) Wizeman the Wicked is out to turn the waking world into a waking nightmare again, and the Nightmaren have been either banished to a place called Nihilis or petrified. The four children join with NiGHTS, Reala, Danny, Deedee, Phantasin, and the vengeful Maren to destroy Wizeman.

Name: Narrator
Age: Meh. Does is really matter in this case?
Bio: They narrate the story.
Voice type: Any is fine. However, I’d absolutely love if some guy (there’s no way a girl could do it, but ladies are absolutely welcome to audition) could do the cheesy, super-hero-announcer voice. Best example for what I’d want would be the announcer on the Power Pals episode of Fairly Odd Parents.
Audition line 1: NiGHTS: Liberation of Dreams, Episode 1: In The Night…
Audition line 2: They have shown the past, present, and future behind closed eyelids- a personal time machine.
Audition line 3: There is one more dreamer important to this story.
Audition line 4: Little do NiGHTS and company realize that they are being spied upon by most wicked forces... Wizeman the Wicked to be precise!

Name: NiGHTS
Age: Unknown
Bio: Nightmaren 1st lvl who is famous for turning against Wizeman.
Voice type: Neutral, medium. (Female VA preferred.)
Audition line 1: (Somberly) I guess you have found yourself at the Dream Gate again.
Audition line 2: (Offended) Was that remark supposed to be aimed at me?
Audition line 3: Uh, just imagine yourself as two different people- that’s how I always do it.
Audition line 4: I can’t back anything like revenge.
Audition line 5: I can’t win, can I?

Name: Reala
Age: Unknown
Bio: Nightmaren 1st lvl whose unyielding loyalty to Wizeman led him to fight against NiGHTS.
Voice type: Medium low. I like the va in JoD. Impersonations of that are cool.
Audition line 1: Well, that was easy.
Audition line 2: (Loudly and matter-of-factly) I hope you realize I can hear everything you three are saying.
Audition line 3: However, the only Maren he didn’t petrify and exile were NiGHTS and myself.
Audition line 4: You just happen to have something that should be able to do the job?
Audition line 5: What is that liquid anyway? You mentioned Perseus earlier.

Name: Gillwing
Age: Unknown
Bio: Also known as the dragonfish, one of Wizeman’s first five lvl 2 Maren.
Voice type: Deep and slow. Like Big the Cat. If you can do an impression of him, go for it.
Audition line 1: Huh? Where am I?
Audition line 2: I’m not used to passengers.
Audition line 3: I’ll carry you.

Name: Jackle
Age: Unknown
Bio: Known for his impenetrable cape and razor-sharp cards, one of Wizeman’s first five lvl 2 Maren.
Voice type: High and cackling.
Audition line 1: (Thoughtfully) I’ll join you, Reala, because you’ve always been the most loyal of all of us.
Audition line 2: (Laughs) I like your style.
Audition line 3: You haven’t seen us at our baddest.

Name: Chamelon
Age: Unknown
Bio: Able to bring cards to life and bring up magical camouflage, one of Wizeman’s second six lvl 2 Maren.
Voice type: Med-high. He’s an eccentric kind of guy. Like a wanna-be Jackle.
Audition line 1: It sounds more like revenge to me.
Audition line 2: No wonder the puny little thing left Wizeman. It’s too scared of the big bad mountains.
Audition line 3: If I’m right, they use to be buildings.

Name: Queen Bella
Age: Unknown
Bio: A classy, giant spider who likes firey climates, one of Wizeman’s second six lvl 2 Maren.
Voice type: High and snotty. Like Robotnik from AOSTH, but female.
Audition line 1: That’s why the world has been so dark?
Audition line 2: Oh, the shame of it all! I’ll never be able to show my face again! Carried by a drooling idiot!
Audition line 3: (Mumbling) Thank you, Gillwing.

Bio: A young, up-and-coming basketball player who joined forces with NiGHTS and Claris to defeat Wizeman.
Voice type: Med to med-high.
Audition line 1: It looks like a bald child, but its head is pointy and… wings!?
Audition line 2: For someone as big as you, that must have been torture.
Audition line 3: Yeah, this is nobody’s fault.
Audition line 4: Looks like Claris is heading back this way, too.
Audition line 5: Without Dualizing, we can’t breathe underwater.

Age: 13
Bio: A young actress/singer who joined forces with NiGHTS and Elliot to defeat Wizeman.
Voice type: Med-high to high

Audition line 3: I wouldn’t have suggested it if I wasn’t willing to do so myself.

Bio: A young soccer (or football. Whatever) player who joined with NiGHTS and Helen to defeat Wizeman.

Bio: Young ‘Vaulter’ boy who is known for his strangely pure heart, he is charged with making sure Phantasin doesn’t stray from a ‘good’ path.

Audition line 3: I wonder what happened to this valley- it looks like Phobetos swept through here on a bad day.

Audition line 2: (Quiet/Sad) I don’t blame you, children…
Audition line 3: Of all the places I’ve been in my life, I’ve never laid eyes on this darkened realm.
Audition line 4: His light still shines brightly, and is surrounded by the lights of those children.

Nightmare Residents:

Name: Wizeman
Age: Unknown
Bio: The creator and ruler of Nightmare, he has stolen the Ideya of Visitors in hopes of breaking into and ruling the waking world.
Voice type: Deep and thoughtful.
Audition line 1: Of all the thorns in my side over the years, she has been the most prominent.
Audition line 2: It doesn’t matter; there are more important things to attend to right now.
Audition line 3: Those are excuses, not successes.

Some of us can't save files an MP3s, only Wav files.
But I recorded a bunch of lines just for fun, in both my regular and Journey of Dumbness voices.

One thing I suggest that you mention is that anyone who auditions is signing a verbal contract to deliver their lines in a timely manner.
Roger and I have had a lot of trouble with VAs who sign on and then don't send their lines in.

I've gotten Pickle's auditions, as well as SiLK's, and Jackskellinghog from vaa. I like how this is going- keep this stuff coming.

*Also note, if you're going to audition, escpecially for one of the major character's parts, then you'd best be willing to commit to this for a while, as well as be able to turn this stuff in on time, otherwise, forget it.

So sorry that i haven't touched down on this topic for a while.
First, the date'll be extended, due to a lack of enthusiasm/voice actors.
Second, I have found some people to do some of the parts, which I'll list below.
Huzzah, if you're going to try for it, please shoot for having it in by the end of January.
