Well, I'm starting to feel some of the strain of moderating this whole place all by myself!

So I'd like to know who's up for a promotion from member to moderator?

Now a moderator has NO privileges, they're just the police of the forum, maintaining the peace.

So if anyone wants to apply, please just give me a brief explanation of why you want the position, how often you can check in here, and any experience you may have..

Anyone who doesn't quite qualify to be a mod, but still has my trust (and has been in the fandom long enough to know the ropes) will be eligible to become a Senior Member.
Sort of a community watch program. The Senior Members will have moderator-like privileges, but they will defer to a moderator, or to me if a situation gets ugly.

Well that's about it, I hope to see some new moderators rise up!

You may notice some blue names.
We have Senior Members right now, and they are our resident civilian police officers.

Respect them, lest they tattle on you! XD
(kidding, I hand picked them so you're safe)

Wondering who the mods are? Check their name color.
Moderators are pink. Also, each forum section will tell you who moderates it.

I need to lay out some guidelines for those who moderate, and those who aspire to be moderators.

1.) Don't let the power go to your head!!
Moderators are members like everyone else, and subject to the same rules (and penalties if need be)

2.) Don't be a moderator in name only!
Please check your assigned section(s) first when you visit the forum, and handle any issues there before you move on to other areas.

3.) Give an Admin a heads Up!
Going away? That's fine, but please warn SiLK and/or Infractus a day or two in advance, so that we're ready to cover for you.

4.) Do Not Ask for Promotions
SiLK is watching you and judging how helpful, considerate, and firm you are. These qualities will help her decide whether or not you deserve a promotion (or a demotion)

5.) Read the Forum Rules!
This should be obvious and it applies to all members, but those who have any position of power here are expected to adhere strictly to the rules and enforce them as needed.

6.) Quitting
If you're overwhelmed, just speak to SiLK and/or Infractus. We're very understanding; just don't vanish to escape your duties. It's better for both parties if you explain yourself and we find a replacement for you.
