Chapter 4, Captured

“ So, did you place the tracking devices on EVENiNG and NiGHTS?”

“ Only EVENiNG, inside the back of her vest. EVENiNG started fidgeting a little so I didn’t plant one on NiGHTS, incase they would wake up.”

“ But-”

“ One’s enough.”

“ So, Reala, where’d you get this tracking device?”

“ Wizeman gave it to me. He said it’s some sort of human technology, and he wanted me to study it, see how it works.”

“ Oh, Human technology!”

“ Yes, and he gave me this…” Reala gave Jackle and Falcon each a walkie talkie.

“ What’s this?”

“ Something humans call a “walkie talkie”. Wizeman gave this to me for the same reason.”

“ Did he give you anything else?”

“ Not now! Look, this device is easy to operate. All you need to do is hold this button and talkie into these holes. Make sure you say “Over” when you finish talking and let go of the button! I’ll use this to communicate with you two, and give further instructions. Now, we all know that sooner or later, NiGHTS and/or EVENiNG will discover that using the power of all five Ideya will stop Master Wizeman from coming back to life. As for now, they don’t. I’ll use this tracking device to keep an eye on their progress. We must do all in our power to stop them! Understood?”

“ Yes, sir!”

“ Good!”

EVENiNG caught up to NiGHTS.

“ NiGHTS, stop!”

“ Look, EVENiNG, I know what I’m doing! We need to get all five Ideya, then we can stop Wizeman from reforming.”

“ But, how do you know? What makes you so sure?”

“ Because… I heard it all before….”

“ Oh…. Well, we might as well go find them.”

“ Yeah, but where shall we look first?”

“ Beats me…”

EVENiNG thought for a moment, then an idea popped up in her mind.

“ How about Spring Valley?”

“ Ok! Lets go!”

“ NiGHTS! Wait! I could teleport us there- oh never mind…”

NiGHTS was already flying straight towards Spring Valley. EVENiNG sighed as she flew after him.

‘ I wonder what Jackle’s up to… Hey! What’s that?’ EVENiNG thought as soon as she say a small, red glow shinning, on the ground.

‘ I bet it’s an Ideya!’

EVENiNG flew straight towards the light, forgetting all about NiGHTS.

“ Hey, It’s not an Ideya… It’s a fire….Weird….”

Reala lunged at EVENiNG, holding her by the throat, up against one of soft museums soft walls.

“ Reala!”

“ Well, well, well…. You’re not dead, after all!” Reala looked EVENiNG in the eyes, smirking evily.

“ Let me go!”

“ Not a chance!”

“ Wait a minute…..” EVENiNG placed her hands on her jewel and teleported behind Reala. EVENiNG quickly kicked Reala. Jackle grabbed EVENiNG by her arms and threw her into a capture, similar to the NiGHTS captures, but instead, had an ability that repelled teleportation.

“ Jackle……? But… why?”

“ Because I was setting you up!”

“ What?! Why you…”

EVENiNG tried to teleport, but nothing happened.

“ What?! But, how?”

“ You’ll need three keys to get out of there! In fact… why don’t you stay and guard EVENiNG, Jackle?”

Jackle nodded and flew up towards the capture.

“ When NiGHTS hears about this, you’ll all be sorry!”

“ He doesn’t even know your gone. Perhaps he cares too much about stopping Master wizeman from returning, that, he could care less about your safety.”

“ Nu-uh! He does care……!”

“ I’m so sure.”

Reala flew off in NiGHTS’s direction.

That is one intresting chapter here.

I wonder if NiGHTS will find out about EVENiNG's capture. This story is getting very exciting.

This is awesome! And EVENiNG is a very cool character.

Thanks guys! Lets hope NiGHTS notices it, but you know NiGHTS! He's probably so exicited about finding an Ideya that he won't notice. Oh noes!

EVENiNG: I'm... going... to... DIE?! No!!!!
Me: Calm down! Mabey not.....mabey yes.. mostly yes....

Chapter 5, Total Betrayal

EVENiNG, feeling helpless, only stood there in her prison, watching Reala fly off. Jackle groaned.

“ Great! First Reala is using human tools, now I have to baby-sit, you again! What’s gotten into him! I thought he hated humans! Why would he use their stuff? It makes no sense!”

EVENiNG kept quite, looking down at her feet.

“ Well, EVENiNG, what do you think? Huh?”

Jackle turned around and saw EVENiNG just standing there, motionless, EVENiNG sat down, glumly.

“ ………What’s wrong?”

“ ……What’s wrong? I’ll tell you what’s wrong!”

EVENiNG burst into tears.

“ Reala’s probably gonna k-k-kill NiGHTS! And you know what? I think he’s right about NiGHTS! He’s probably right about him caring about the Ideya more then me even existing! A-a-and… h-he.. Didn’t even no-notice that I’m not following him! He doesn’t care if my stuck here! All he cares about is stopping Wizeman, and s-saving Nightopia! I bet he’s enjoying him self now th-th-that I’m not around to “ get in his way”! I bet he believes what Wizeman said, about me just being a worthless, total failed prototype! Everyone thinks that! I’m just a prototype… not a living thing! I’m not some sort of old, worn-out, child’s plaything! It-it-I-it was never my fault that NiGHTS betrayed Wizeman! It was his choice!”

After finishing her little “speech”, EVENiNG sobbed even more then she had ever done in her lifetime.


“ I-I-I thought you were my friend, but no! and I even thought he was my friend! But he isn’t! no one is…”

EVENiNG heard someone clapping from behind and immediately turned around.

“ Very touching speech, EVENiNG. Well, looks like you believe us , hmm?”

“ Get out of here Reala! Just-just go ahead and do what you have to do! I don’t care! I don’t want to see NiGHTS ever again… Wait… how much did you hear?”

“ The whole thing! Tell me, do you seriously want NiGHTS dead?”

“ Well, no, but I don’t want to see him again! I don‘t even care about his well being, anyway.”

“ So, does this mean you’re interested in coming back?”

“ Well, I…………… I don’t know………………………………”

Reala flew closer.

“ Well is it a yes or a no?”

“ Fine! Yes!”

“ Good.”

Reala snapped his figures, immediately freeing EVENiNG from her prison. Jackle flew up to EVENiNG.

“ I’m watching you…”

“ Yeah, yeah, what ever! Reala! Give me all of those devices of yours-”

“ How did you-?”

“ Jackle told me!”

Reala glared at Jackle, whom was laughing nervously.

“ I’m not helping you if you don’t…”

“ Fine! Falcon!”

“ Falcon?”

Falcon immediately swooped in, seeming bored.

“ Falcon, Jackle, give all of those devices I gave you to EVENiNG.”

“ But-”

“ Do it!”

Jackle and Falcon did as they were told, and watched as EVENiNG smashed and completely destroyed every single one.

“ Reala, you’re pathetic! Using this junk! Honestly, what has gotten into you?”

“ Master Wizeman gave them to me-”

“ Wow, he’s gotten stronger alright…” EVENiNG said sarcastically, rolling her eyes.

“ EVENiNG!”

“ Huh? NiGHTS?”

Well, that chapter was full of how EVENiNG feels, which is something that really puts a lot of knowledge to to reader.

I also wonder what EVENiNG will do to the human devices.

Reala sat down on his throne, bored, staring at the quarriling Nightmaren.

" Well, at least I have a BODY!"

" AT LEAST I'M COLORFUL!"

" How's that prove anything?!"

" I proves you're a sad Nightmaren and I'm not!"

" SO?"

" YEAH!"

" WILL YOU TWO SHUT UP!!!!!" EVENiNG yelled, leaning againts the base of Reala's extremly tall throne. She had her arms crossed in front of her chest. She was tired of fighting, and of all the yelling and drama. She had had it. EVENiNG gave them a glare that ment she ment buissiness. A glare that said, " You mess with me and the next thing you know it, you'll be on the ground crying "Uncle" " Jackle and Falcon gulped.

" YES MAM'!"

" GOOD!"

Reala stared at her. He usually had to raise his voice twice to get the pair to behave, but EVENiNG just had to do it once. Reala felt a little jealous, but looked away, waiting.
