Prolouge:

Wizeman had finnally finished his greatest creation, rather a prototype; EVENiNG. EVENiNG wasn't any ordnary Nightmaren. She had the abbility to teleport, place to place, and teleport through time. This is a power missing from a fimiliar maren; NiGHTS, but he didn't exist at this time. Now EVENiNG could teleport throught time and space using her Blue Ideya shard, on her chest. All she has to do is place her hand on it, close her eyes, and think of the time and/or place she wishes to teleport to. EVENiNG was carefree, and was created at the same time as Jackle and the gang, but before Reala and NiGHTS. EVENiNG was a mistake, becuase she would always just fly around, looking for jewls or anything like it, especially ideyas. Now, when she finds an Ideya(s) she would keep it to herself, and never let Wizeman have it. Wizeman, then one day, tryed to distroy EVENiNG, but she managed to escape. Lost, and feeling very alone, EVENiNG layed on the soft ground of Soft Mueseume, trying not to cry, but all she could think of was ' Where do I go now?' and 'What should I do?' Jackle found her quickly and grabbed her. EVENiNG shrieked in fear " Let me go! Let me go!" she yelled, as she kicked and twisted in an etempt to escape. " Settle down, will ya'? It's just me, Jackle!" Jackle said, putting her down. " Jackle whats the big idea? Scaring me like that!" " I said cool it! Look, me and every other maren knows what you did-" " Your not going to turn me in are you?" EVENiNG interrupted. "- No! That is if you don't do what I say..." Jackle finished, with a slick smile on his face. " Like what?" " Well, when ever I need your help..." Jackle said, as he placed his hand on top of EVENiNG Ideya Shard, causing it to glow. Jackle had just placed a spell on her shard, so he could contact her. " ... Your shard will beep loudly." " Ah, I see. You want me to do your bidding. Fine! Whatever!" EVENiNG said, a little disappointed and yet, relived. She turned around, floding her arms across her chest, looking down. Jackle felt bad for her. The endings of his helm drooped a little. " Well, I heard Wizemans going to make some new marens, that'll hunt you down, so be careful." Jackle warned as he turned away. " Jackle......!" EVENiNG said, melonchoalishly. ".. Yeah?" " Thanks..." " Your welcome, EVENiNG." Jackle said, as he disappread into the darkness. EVENiNG stood there watching. Finnaly, she flew off away into the night.
--- Present day, Morning---
NiGHTS was glad that he defeated Wizeman. He flew, doing tricks, entertaining the little pians', which cheered and sang for their hero. NiGHTS waved at them, smiling. But then he began to think of EVENiNG. ' Is she still ok? I'm sure she is. Besides, Reala and Wizeman think she's dead, and with Wizeman defeated, what could go wrong?' NiGHTS thought. EVENiNG was being chased like NiGHTS, but couldn't take it anymore, so she went into hiding, convincing Wizeman and Reala that she might have died off. NiGHTS and Reala were created, not only to collect Ideya, but to seek and distroy EVENiNG. EVENiNG was watching NiGHTS soar through the sky, right behind an old tree, and as she did, she didn't know she was being watched. ' Well, well.... Looks like an old friend of mine is still alive after all. Kudos to you EVENiNG, but you and that fool will never see the light of day again!' Reala thought, smiling evily.

EVENiNG is a very interesting character, reminds me a bit of Rouge from the Sonic series. She is a character that is interesting a read about. The best thing about her is that she isn't perfect, unlike most people who make OCs.

Anyways, critique time. I want to tell you a little rule in grammar: Every time another character speaks, a new paragraph is made. You put each quote in the same paragraph, so it's a little difficult to read.

thanxs, and I noticed that she's like Rouge, lol. I couldn't think of the personality, but, um, yes, Rouge-ish maren, but I like Rouge's personality, for some odd reason. and good idea, I'll do that next post, thanx, and glad you like it!

Chapter One! A Meeting with Jackle

EVENiNG busily followed NiGHTS from behind, as he flew through Stick Canyon, all the way to a small hill, in Spring Valley, not knowing he was being followed. A few minutes later, NiGHTS finally arrived to his destination. It was night time, 8:00 p.m. to be exact. NiGHTS heard a twig snap behind him, causing him to immediately turn away from the crystal blue river.

“ Hey! Whose there- Oh, EVENiNG, it’s just you. Stop sneaking around like that!”

“ You look a little worried.”

“ Nah, just fine!” NiGHTS said, as he layed back in the air.

“ Well, whatever.”

NiGHTS immediately got into a fighting postion.

“ Cool it, NiGHTS! Yeesh!”

“ Look behind you!”

EVENiNG immediately turned around, only to discover that nothing was there.

“ Oh, very mature, NiGHTS!”

“ But… I saw two eyes in those bushes!”

“ Yeah, right!”

“ EVENiNG……. NiGHTS….” A voice whispered mincingly, through the bushes, sounding so high pitched, it was like a cackle.

“ Who- Whose there!?

“ EVENiNG, please don’t tell me you’re scared of Jackle!”

“ Huh, Jackle? Oh… right, I knew it all along!”

NiGHTS rolled his eyes.

“ Riiiight, sure you did!”

EVENiNG glared at NiGHTS

“ Jackle? I do not know of this “ Jackle” of which you speak, I am only here to kill you NiGHTS! You, too, EVENiNG!”
NiGHTS and EVENiNG looked at each other, and then said in unison

“It’s Jackle.”

NiGHTS floated over to the bushes, reached his hand in, and grabbed something that felt like a cape, he pulled it out, dragging the owner with. The owner turned out to be Jackle.

“ He- Hey! Watch the cape, NiGHTS! I thought I told you clearly, to never touch the cape!”

“ What ever….”
NiGHTS finally pulled Jackle out into the opening.

“ Hey, long time, no see.”

“ Hi EVENiNG. O.K., joke times over, time to get serious. I heard that Reala knows that you still alive EVENiNG, and with Wizeman gone, he gots plenty of time to look for you. I’d be careful if I were you. He even said he’ll kill anyone or anything that gets in his way, so I’d watch it if I were you, NiGHTS”

NiGHTS nodded, and turned to EVENiNG, who was looking down at her feet. NiGHTS then looked back at Jackle.


“ Well, what do you think we should do then, Jackle? Sure, EVENiNG can hide, but what if Reala finds her in her sleep, then what, huh? Look, all I’m trying to say is if there’s an easier way to keep EVENiNG from getting caught.”

“ Well, you two could sleep in my Nightmare, if you want, but only for tonight!”
“ Why just tonight?”

“ Because, if Reala decides to check out my Nightmare, and he spots you two, then… well… you know.

NiGHTS shoulders sagged, and he turned to EVENiNG, who was looking very depressed.

“ Look, EVENiNG, you know Jackle pretty well, what do you think we should do.?”

EVENiNG looked up from her feet.

“ We can stay with him.” EVENiNG said with a satisfied nod.

“ Kay’, lets use EVENiNG’s teleportation power to get us to Soft Museum, and my Nightmare.”

Jackle put his hand on EVENiNG’s left shoulder, NiGHTS put his hand on EVENiNGS right shoulder.

“ All right, hang on guys!”

EVENiNG closed her eyes, and place her hands over her Ideya Shard, thought about Soft Museum, and teleported there, along with NiGHTS and Jackle.

I've read the second chapter, and it's pretty cool. It's much easier to read when the words spoken by the characters are put into separate paragraphs.

I also like the color coding.

Chapter 2; A Bad Dream

" Ok, you guys find a spot to rest at, we're leaving first thing in the morning, no questions asked, got it?"

" Ok!"

" Good."

Jackle flew upwards, towards the ceiling, and slept in the same position a bat would. NiGHTS sat up against a very colorful box, EVENiNG sat beside him. NiGHTS couldn’t sleep, but EVENiNG was fast asleep. NiGHTS got up and looked around the room.

“ psst….NiGHTS! Hey NiGHTS!”

“ Huh?”

“ Don’t worry, I’ll keep watch, Kay?”

“ Ok.”

NiGHTS sat down, next to EVENiNG, checking up on Jackle, just to make sure he kept his word. Every now and then, Jackle would fall asleep for exactly 5 minutes, then wake up and look around for exactly 10 minutes.

‘ This guy’s a regular alarm egg!’ NiGHTS thought, then he looked down at EVENiNG, who was sleeping on his lap, a struggled look on her face. ‘What’s wrong with her?’

EVENiNG looked around in her dream. Everything was pitch black. Just then , a metallic hand came up out of no where, just behind her, and grabbed her. EVENiNG yelped.

“ Well…well….It’s been a long time scenes we last spoke, huh, EVENiNG?” A strange, gigantic figure rose right in front of her. It had 6 giant metallic hands, similar to the one that restrained her, with eyes in the center.

“ W-w-Wizeman? But, how…”

“ Did NiGHTS honestly think he could defeat me that easily?”

EVENiNG kept quite.

“ Pathetic. Do you realize that you’re the reason NiGHTS betrayed me?”

“ Your wrong! NiGHTS did that because he knew what was right and what was wrong the whole time, Wizeman! NiGHTS is right, you do treat us like your puppets! Can’t you-”

“ SILIENCE! Your very lucky I can’t dispose of you in this state.”

“ Huh?”

EVENiNG cocked her head in utter confusion.

“ Well, I might as well show you your near future now that you’re here…” Wizeman disappeared. A blinding light shown where he was. EVENiNG covered her eyes, when the light disappeared, she uncovered them, and looked around in dismay.

“Is this… Nightopia? No, it can’t be! … but… it’s all, so… desolate and uninhabitable….”

The water in what seemed as Spring Valley was all dried up, with no plants or trees, except for some dead ones. The soil was all dried and cracked up. EVENiNG noticed something purple in the distance. She quickly flew towards the object. It was NiGHTS, laying face flat on the ground.

“ NiGHTS! Wake up! C’mon! Wake up!” She shook the body, and even punched it in the stomach, hoping the blow would wake him up……nothing.

“ Now, EVENiNG, I bet you already guessed where we are. This is Nightopia.”

“ What? No!”

Everything around EVENiNG went black again, all that could be heard was Wizeman’s evil laughter in the distance….

This is getting intresting, with that future and all. I sure hope that it is one of those future predictions that could be stopped.

NiGHTS:Hey! I'm still alive
Me:Sorry....

Chapter 3; Bad News (For those of you who like atmosphere music will be featured! Links that is. You will be notified when to stop the music or change it if you chose to do so.)

NiGHTS woke up upon hearing EVENiNG talk in her sleep.

“ Huh? EVENiNG? Are you ok?”

“ NiGHTS… wake up… c’mon…. Stop playing around… I know your not dead….”

“ What are you talking about? EVENiNG, wake up!”

NiGHTS gently shook EVENiNG by her shoulder. EVENiNG woke up to a jolt, and stared at NiGHTS. NiGHTS opened his mouth to speak, but before any words could escape, EVENiNG lunged at NiGHTS and hugged him, tightly.

“ EVENiNG! Ge- get off!”

“ NiGHTS! I’m so glad your still alive!”

“ Well, of course I am, don’t be silly!”

“ Hey, what’s going- oooo ho ho ho ho. And WHAT, dare I ask, are you doing to each other? Do you guys love each other, or what?”

EVENiNG jumped back, blushing.

“ I guess I got carried away……”

“ I’ll say….”

“ Better look out NiGHTS! Someone’s already after you, you lucky maren!”

Jackle teased elbowing NiGHTS in the arm.

“ Jackle! Cut it out!”

NiGHTS brushed Jackle off, who only burst out laughing.

“ Guys! This is serious!”

Jackle stopped laughing and NiGHTS stopped trying to grab his cape.

“ Guys…. Wizeman’s….” EVENiNG grabbed her arm “Back…”

“ Whaaaaat!?”

NiGHTS only stared in utter disbelief.

“ Yes… but he hasn‘t revived fully….. I think…”

NiGHTS flew off.

“ NiGHTS! Wait! We can fix this!”

“ I know… lets go EVENiNG!”

“ Ok!”

EVENiNG flew after NiGHTS, but stopped in mid air, turning back towards Jackle.

“ Aren’t you coming?”

“ Go ahead. I’ll stay here.”

“ Ok, take care…”

“ EVENiNG! C’mon!”

EVENiNG flew off after NiGHTS.

‘ Perfect… it’s all going to plan….’

“ So, now they are looking for Wizeman, huh?”

“ Yes sir!”

“ Good… good.”

Wow, the nightmarens who are not EVENiNG and NiGHTS are evil.

Nice job, music does give some good atmosphere to the story.

Thanks ! The music here is a trial run, but I'll still include it, now I dare you guys to guess who the guy or girl is talking in red

I like it! And the music really adds to the fanfic. But I have SA2: B and don't remember that music... :/
