This story takes place a while before NiGHTS Journey of Dreams so there are no spoilers here.

It was a bright sunny day in Stick Canyon. As always. Everything was the same as always. To you that may be a good thing. But to NiGHTS it was horrible. Speaking of him he was sitting on the side of the tallest mountain in the canyon. "I've seen all of this before!" he shouted in a confused rage. "I'm tired of flying around the same places over and over again!". He looked up at the sky and sighed. He picked up a pebble and threw it as far as he could. It speed fowards at a blindng speed but then it hit an invicible barrier. NiGHTS looked up at it. He flew over a poked it. Then he kicked it. He had never seen a barrier in a dream. "What's this?" he said. A Nightopian came over and hugged NiGHTS leg. "Who are you and why are you hugging my leg?" NiGHTS asked. "My name is Peanut and my Mom told me to find you! You are supposed to be able to break it that barrier." he said. NiGHTS chuckled and drill dashed into it. It shattered and a huge portal opened up. "What's going on?" NiGHTS asked with an ounce of fear in his voice. "I don't know" said Peanut. Peanut hopped on NiGHTS back as NiGHTS flew back and burst into the portal. He came out over a huge city. NiGHTS eyes sparkled with wonder. He looked over the horizon and saw a huge palace. "Let's go visit whoever lives there!" said NiGHTS with a grin on his face.

Keep at it ma' friend, this could become a great performance! (I meant to type in a lot earlier, sorry ^_^') I can only imagine what's about to happen XD, considering that NiGHTS just shot out of boredom.(no, it's not a suggestion, don't pay attention to me O.o I'm just crazy for potential that's all.) I can't really blame you for not typing in chapter 2 yet. Inspiration doesn't come on a silver platter at times...but I still like what I see so far.

Looks interesting. I'd like to see more ASAP. However, (and don't be mad, I do this to my friends too) it could do with a little grammar editing. Then again, I'm a grammar freak, and grammar/spelling errors pop out so much more vividly for me (that, and I want writing to be my career).
But, other than that, I'd love to see where this goes. Good luck!
