Veterinary Costs and Such

Postby SiLK on Sat Sep 06, 2008 6:42 pm

My brother's dog caught a stick wrong on Monday, on Tuesday a bad vet misdiagnosed him with a sprained jaw. he was stable but in pain all Wednesday, then Thursday he began to bleed so he was taken back to the vet, who reported that something was very wrong in his mouth.
Friday morning he was taken in and anesthetized, and they found a 2 3/4 inch shard of stick embedded in his jaw. We were told that he was very lucky because had that stick been removed, he could have bled to death. In the vet's office, they had to give him a transfusion for the blood that he had lost already.
Last night he was taken home to avoid him being alone during the coming storm because he has severe thunderstorm anxiety, he bled but lightly enough that we dismissed it.
Just now he's spat a clot out and begin bleeding heavily, my parents have rushed him to the vet but there is a bloody trail where he left the house.

If anyone knows ANYTHING that could help, then please share!
Needless to say, I'm in a bad state myself

I just want to say that I feel really bad for you, your brother and your brother's dog. This just looks like an awful situation, and I hope things will look up.
The Gothic Lolita style looks great on Nightmaren!

I changed the subject because the situation's gone downhill.
If I stop coming online, it will mean that I've lost my internet among other things.
If anyone can help, I am accepting donations, but no more than anyone can spare. I don't want to put anyone in the situation I'm in. . .
