This is something that came to my mind the other day.

I was eating a ginger biscuit, and I realised that the warm flavour of them always reminds me of this time of year :3

So I was wondering, what reminds you of Christmas? At any time of the year, there can be things that remind you.

For example, ginger or cinnamon, parsnips, and Disney videos are some of the things that make me think of it ^_^ heheh. Sights and smells mainly affect my memory it appears. Oh, and the sound of bells. Any type of bell makes me think of Christmas XD

Sparkles, gingerbread, tinsel, candles, evergreen trees and moss, and deer.
Oh, and a nice big fireplace! (I don't have one anymore, but I might in a couple of years)

The smell of burning wood. People around here have fireplaces and use them on the cold days.. specifically, it reminds me of wintertime in California when I spent countless hours walking around town with my group of friends. Lots of fireplaces in northern California.

It reminds me of my good friend Mitch's house. His house was always so warm and inviting, smelled peculiar, but awesome... and it was just the best place to be, in my opinion. I spent quite a bit of time there with him and the rest of our group during the winter, so I guess that's my nostalgia.

What reminds me of christmas....lets see...Oh yea, this lucky charm of mine that I found on christmas a couple years back, I look at it and think of how good that Christmas was with the family up north, not so much trouble, unlike most christmas'. Peppermints and Hot Coco makes me also think of Christmas, and how a warm cup could warm you after a cold day out, buying those presents.

I typed out a response to this the other day on my cellphone, but I guess it didn't go through (the connection died shortly after). So, if this comes up twice.. again forgive me!

Anyway. I was in the midst of drawing stuff and went on a small MIDI binge. What can I say, they usually inspire me. "Dezolis Field" from Phantasy Star IV always makes me think of wintertime or Christmas time. It's mellow and kind of dreamy, sleepy, and from a very wintery planet.

Also, another favorite is the Good Fortune remix of Sonic 3's Ice Cap Zone. Again, I think that was mentioned many topics ago -- but is still one of the best remixes of the song I've ever heard. It's got a very cool breeze-type feeling to it, makes me want to snowboard.

"Snow Planet" by Two-Mix, I *think* (was looking up Gundam Wing soundtracks a long time back, and I think it was Two-Mix that did "Just Communication" ..). It's peppy, cute, happy and got just a touch of winter to it.

I'm happy 'cause I get to close at work by myself tonight, so I can listen to the Charlie Brown Christmas album as much as I want to! "Linus and Lucy" and "Skating" are by far my favorites off the album.
