Well Halloween is this Friday, but I like to give plenty of heads up.
So let's start thinking about this year's card exchange. Last year went nicely aside from a couple of people who just never followed through.
I have to stress this, please do NOT sign up for the exchange if you can't or won't send a card out!
It's just mean.
But please send me a note if you want to be involved and have the focus to make and send a card out to the person I assign to you.
Okay, the details are as follows:
*The card should preferably be something that you made, don't just buy a card from the local Hallmark.
*if you can't or won't make a card from scratch, then you can personalize an existing card by gluing sparkle, beads, macaroni, whatever to it.
*If you don't mail a card out by a week before Christmas, then please contact me at once so that I can step in and ensure that nobody is left without a card this year!!
It's a cruddy feeling to not get any card, let's not let anyone feel that way please!
*Obviously this involves a certain amount of trust on your part.
Please get your parents' permission to give your address out, or have an alternate address your card can be sent to, if you're under age.
All who participated last year can vouch for me, I will not abuse any of the addresses given to me and I won't give them to anyone who I deem to be less than trustworthy.
*Cards should be sent about two weeks before Christmas to make up for the holiday crush and delays. As said before, if you cannot mail a card by then, you must let me know so that I can correct the matter.
Failure to deliver or let me know that you can't will result in negative karma!
This is for fun and to build community, so please only participate if you are comfortable with it.
There will be a less personal exchange happening as well, so you don't have to share your address.
