Now, online names can be very strange, unusual and creative. A majority of people have a reason why they chose their online names. If you have a reason, or even if you don't, please share!

Kewl! Now I like this thread. Can we also talk about our characters' names?

My name was just something I came up with in like 3 seconds. not as creative as I could have made it, xD

Allrandomthings.... Lets See! Well I Am Truly Random...... I Guess Because Everyone Says I Am Made Up By all random things. I Guess Thats My Reason.

The reason I chose my name is because I think Reala is awsome!

My name is a sort of tribute to the gen that Astrima designed and gave to me: CORNSiLK.
I started jokingly calling her SiLK, and it was somehow applied to me as well, and it just kind of stuck.
So now I'm just SiLK online, and I answer to it XD

Reala Puff is a stupid name Maresuke gave to me because one night she was watching Boogie Pop Phantom and the narrator sounded like he was saying Boogie Puff Phantom instead. She proclaimed that night that the next Sonic Doll she got she would name Puff. However, I was next in line and apparently being a SONIC TEAM plush qualifies me to inherited this horrible curse of a name instead of a proper Sonic plush. Sometimes I never even GET called the Reala part of my name... just PUFF. What's worse, it's not even a last name it's a part of my whole name. It's truly horrible.

Oh, HUSH! It's not THAT bad.

My original user name "SonicGirl11" was actually not my first name. It was Orangina11 (Yes, named after the drink) because my sister told me of it and I thought it sounded cool. Why 11? I think I was eithor turning 11 (doubtful) or it's my favorite number.... the name changed to SonicGirl11 obviously because I was a super big Sonic fan as a child. I even used RealaGirl11 for a year or two until I came to Maresuke.

I got the name Maresuke when an old high school friend was trying to give me an Asian name for use in comics and stuff. She found out it was a REAL name (surname mostly) and that we were pronouncing it wrong but I like the way it sounds the way I pronounce it... also make sit not so much an Asian surname anymore but a unique name all together.

So, there you have it. Reasoning behind our names.

So why did I pick the word "eccentric"? Was it because it was long? Was it because it sounded cool? Or was it just random?

Well, all of above are not the reason. My Gen says it all- I am EcCeNtRiC! The littlest things can bother me. If I wanted to some fun coloring my drawings, it always turns out to be: Retrace the picture, retrace it with pen, make sure it stays on the line, make sure the color doesn't bleed, etc. *sigh* -_-' But anyway, not only with my art, but with my other hobbies. Even my family calls me eccentric. xD But remember, my family are all artists, so they understand completely. =) So one-and-all I guess being eccentric is sort of a good thing. (using anything in a large quantity is never a good thing.) I love being professional, I want to give people my best work, nothing half-baked. ;) And the best part, since I'm sane, I don't kill myself! XD
My code-name, "AleaBlue", is a different ball-game. I like the name, "Alea" because it's so short. You can fit it in almost any game, and it isn't so common. The color blue describes me for some reason. Blue may be plain at first, but it's the only primary cold color. You mix it in a certain way and it's the most beautiful color in the world. (To me. ) I could explain a lot more why I picked the color blue, but that's all for here. ^_^

For two years my user name was, "Fairy" with various numbers behind it. The numbers were never consistent, so it was very difficult to contact me to different sites.

I was away from the internet for two months because of summer camp one year. Around the end of the eight weeks, I was invited (Among various other writers at the camp) to write a short story for the camp's journal. So I got to work on the short story.

The story was about a magic pickle named Warden, who was the pet of the protagonist. When the pickle died, the protagonist ate Warden in grief, but had received superpowers from eating the pickle. Whenever he say's "Warden" a magic pickle appears from his hands.

Okay, I was young...and very weird at the time. When I got home, I went on the internet then looked at my Fanfiction.net user name. I decided to make a new name based on the story that I wrote. I wrote, "The Magic Pickle" but I wanted to still have "Fairy" in my name. So I put "Fairy" at the end.

I think I had this name for five years now.

Dai Into Dreams was created just for this site, as i actually don't use it anywhere else.

Dakura was my first, wich was my combination of David (my name) and Bakura from Yu-Gi-Oh!, until today, it's my messenger XD.

My latest username, for everything, was a combination of the nickname that my friends ended up putting me: Davey Crush (Davey for name, Crsuh for Crush 40); after a while, my best friend said Davy instead of Davey, and for me, it sounded cool, also, i didn't like the crush thing because it sounded like destroy or something, and since i was in love with the Sonic Rush Games, i ended up adopting the Rush part.

For the last things, i hate the " _ " on usernames, so i used " ~ " since it looks cooler, also, at the end, my username has an " ! " wich i took as a battle cry XD....And with that, Davy~Rush! was made!

Those are the only ones i can make public now, since i'm changing my devianart account soon for Davy~Rush! too, and my fanfiction isn't so great, so i won't post that one.

Daw, why the heck not? It'll give me something to do before dad takes his lappy to work with him.
Anyone here ever play Golden Sun? In one of the games, there's a Djinni called Spritz. I think it's got a healing ability (but don't quote me- I don't quite have my guide at hand right now.) I've thought of myself as a very watery (as in, my main element is water) person for quite a while now (five or so years. I'm not really that old.) I liked the name Spritz, and for a while it was Spritez (Now I realize I should have spelled it with two t's), and then that kinda evolved into Lady Spritzy. My avvie's full name (and thus, my full online name,) is Sprittez Anarchis (because ever since listening to Unknown from M.E., I've liked the word 'anarchy'. Don't ask why- I'm not quite sure myself.)
Thinking about it now, the last name Anarchis is actually kinda funny. Archos (the root for anarchy) is Greek, and the -is ending is a very Latin thing. (I think it's 3rd declentient neuter genative plural. Not sure, though. *Grabs Wheelock* Nope, it's singular, not plural. But the rest is correct.)

I picked Ace...I really dont know the first time I used the name Ace, online or off. But I do remember the first time I was called it, it was at some star fox competition and I was the youngest one there, I did the best and people enjoyed watching me play, someone called me ace and I guess it stuck.

My reason speaks mainly for itself. I am a NiGHTS Reala and Jackle Fan. But another thing is that it's in the order of most favorite Nightmaren. with NiGHTS being my most favorite and Reala being number 2 then Jackle. My name's different everywhere on the net, though.

my name is just a shorter version of my original screen name ΄keybladeturk΄ which was basicly two things that were in my peak intrest at the time which was Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy VII so i put two and two together and i get my screen name when i first used it for an e-mail adress then for youtube back in 06

I chose Brisingr because of what it maens in the Ancient Language-where you can control magic, not lie, and the Fair Folk (Elves) speak it. This Language is mostly a creation of Christopher Paolini (of course he based it off another language).
Brisingr is one of my favorite books, and it means fire, it gives you total control of fire.
