YamiLover's Other Artwork

Postby YamiLover13 on Wed Nov 28, 2007 3:25 am

I just finished this today for a school project.

It has been a long while sine I have done something like this. So bear with me and the errors. Its of Death from the playwrite "Everyman". Or at least the way I think of Death.

That's excellent, very eerie and ghost-like!
Now you've made me want to draw the DiscWorld Death XD

Thank you. I am kinda happy on how it turned out too, but, as it is my work, I see all the errors and it makes me mad. Ah well. Its been awhile since I have drawn, and now I will do more this semester. Oh joy. (I may not show you those drawnigs since they will be of chairs and other odd things no one wants to see. )

I have also found out the graphite is better than I thought. Its harder to work with but its less messy and can do small details well.

What is Disc World Death? I want to see it. I like to see your drawings.

Also...I think I am starting to develop a cartoony style while I draw. Belive it or not, this picture was meant to look realistic. It didn't turn out that way though. At least its spooky. XD

Aw, go ahead and show us. Art is art, after all!

Discworld is a really funny book series by Terry Pratchet. In it, Death is represented as a personality. He's my favorite character, actually XD

That sounds like a neat book. I should look into it.

Ok I will show you guys some stuff, but not everything. I have put them in my DA scraps in order to save some space on Photobucket.

I will get a image of my self-portrait image sometime tomorrow. But I am busy right now. That and I need to have it sit out for a bit. I found it all folded up. ;_;

Ooh, that first one is amazing! It looks surprisingly 3D.

I want that pillow from the second. And bah to the arm, that's such an easy mistake.

And great use of shadows on the third! Hey, at least yours wasn't cluttered. That must have made it easier.

Thank you. I liked it because of that too.

Its a beanie pillow too. In fact...hey...WHERE IS IT?! I don't think I brought it with me this year. D8 I tend to do a lot of warping with chairs and doors. The teacher gets mad, but I think its cool. Thats just me though.

Actually I cheated and took most of the stuff out. It took long enough just to do that. What he didn't know wouldn't hurt him. I didn't like sitting on the kitchen floor too long either. :p I do better when there is less stuff anyway. Charcoal is hard to deal with in small spaces.

Yay, art to look at :D

Very cool stuff, Yami. And yeah, even though it's chairs and stuff doesn't mean that the rest of us don't want to see it. I love looking at pictures of what people draw and do regardless of the subject matter, so don't hold back too much ;)

I like the Under The Sink picture. It works well as a black and white type picture (really brings out the contrast and adds dimension).
