It won't stay that way for long soon as I can get into gear and start churning out some pages.
Just recently I've had a few ideas that are actually pretty strong that I just need to develop -- and maybe posting something here will keep me inspired and focused. There's still so much left on my "artwork unfinished" list that I need to get done, and feel less unhappy about!
(suggestions for a title are welcome. I was going to use the name from a series I started a long time ago somewhat showcasing my day to day adventures, but 'Boredom Strikes Again' doesn't seem to fit with the newer idea)
-My day to day adventures, or at least the events that would make for a good one page strip with a short and sweet punchline.
Few pages I have in mind:
- Based on one evening while waiting for my mom to get off of the computer so I could use it and chat with my friends online (yeah, it's terrible waiting for someone to sign off so you can use the 'puter). I was getting bored and edgy waiting for her to finish up her conversation, sitting on the floor.. our speakers were on the floor, so I turned the volume way up. My mom nearly jumped out of the chair when her incoming ICQ message screamed "UH-OH!" really loud. We still laugh about it to this day, even though she nearly smacked me back then..
- My roadtrip to Georgia. It's been in the back of my head for a long time, more or less going to turn into an arc of the story since I've got at least 4 note-pages of situations that happened that were amusing.
- Dialogue about my 'cinnaburgers.' Long story short, I was cooking while still living with my mom and added all sorts of spices to some hamburgers I made, cinnamon ended up being in the collection. Came out good, despite the funky faces you may have. When I moved in with my dad and stepmom, they let me cook them.. they really haven't let me live it down since.
The biggest thing preventing the progress on my comic is deciding a style to use for the comic. I would really appreciate any input or suggestions you may have!
Second idea, is my own NiGHTS-based comic. Essentially my 'meeting' NiGHTS... probably not going to be too dialogue or plot-heavy. I haven't really begun to think about a plot, but thought it would be fun to draw and color in a comic based on the purple maren and how he's affected my life since last year.
Concept art to come, along with finished pages - as they get done!
Suggestions and comments, etc are more than welcome.
