Then that dark day came as he was 13 Robotnick came, terrorize Western City, Capture everyone turn them into robots as he was going to fight Robotnick his dad told him to levee they will be ok so he took his dad wishes got his things even his books then Speed off while they got capture and Robotzice. 4 years later when he was 17 he head to knothole to find Sally Acorn so he can join the Freedom Fighters and get revving on Robotnick.

I have returned from both moving back to Florida and being busy with my job at Publix Supermarkets. If rotor is still open I claim him as my Original cast character and will submit a app for him and for Symone, a fan character I made before I left Yahoo to move. I should have both profiles up soon inside a week at the most if that is okay?

Hello and welcome to the game Charles. Also, welcome back sonicthehedgehogmach2, although I probably should get used to using SymoneHedgehog now. As far as I know Rotor is still open. And having the profiles up within the week would be okay.

A reminder for everyone that the rules from the SatAMContinues yahoo group still apply to characters for this game, so please read, or reread, them it if you need to remember what the rules are. For convenience I'm linking a page to the rules from the group.

Since the link to the rules broke, I've copied the rules into a post in this thread.

Although with regards to Charles_Roberts's character Alexander (Since you asked), please read the rules on the page I linked, as clones, relatives, and looks-alikes of either existing or original characters aren't allowed. (And you said Alexander is a cousin of Sonic.) But the concept of a martial arts using hedgehog isn't a bad one, so I'd suggest using PMs to me and/or SiLK so we can discuss how to refine the character so that no rules are violated without ending up with a lengthy discussion that excludes most of the people in the game from forming in this thread.

I definitely need to consider making a new thread for completed/accepted character profiles to be posted in. That would keep them easy to find once the game gets started.

Not to place all of the burden on Seth, but I do advise contacting him first and PMing me only if Seth is too busy or doesn't know the answer.

But unless otherwise stated, everyone who joins from the yahoo group gets to keep any characters that they had approved already.

We also have a couple openings, as Bunny Rabbot and Metal Sonic have been surrendered unfortunately.

Description:
His body stood 3'5 and has a lean build. Green fur and quills covers most of Symone's body. His stomach, chest, and arms covered in dark tanned skin. On Symone's hands and chest were scratches from run ins with some less then friendly robots. He wore a pair of black batters gloves on his hands. Over his upper back and chest, Symone wore a black tank top that had holes in the back for his long back quills to stick through. Around his waist was a old brown leather belt. There was a brown rope tied on Symone's left first and second fingers. On his feet was a pair of brown, gray, and black sneakers.

Background: After watching my parents robotized by Swat-bots in the name of Robotnik when I was 6, I ran away avoiding capture by finding a cave that had sensor proof minerals with in it's walls. I hid there until the Swat-bots left the area and decided to stay in the cave as I let out the pain and sadness of losing my parents. I then taught myself how to survive by myself thinking that I was the only furry Mobian left on the entire planet for the next 16 years of my life. Each night I would curl up into a ball on My bed as I had nightmares about my parents, then lay awake shivering in fear from vivid detail of my nightmare, having no one to calm me down but myself.

Personality:
Symone has been alone for 16 years of his life. The last normal Mobians he seen were his parents the day of Robotnik's Coup. He watched as they were robotized into mindless slaves then ran away screaming "Mom and Dad!" He found a cave then and got it in his head he was the only non-robotic Mobian left and accepted that his fate was to die a lonely death. In the back of his mind there is hope he is wrong but with every day it get smaller.

Why Do You Want to Play Them?: Because Rotor fits my lifestyle the best of the the original cast.

Any Experience?: Mostly what I did as him in the Yahoo group so far. But it is a start and for a newbie I think I did him quite well.

The hiss sound of a blow torch can be heard in a workshop in Knothole Village. The user wearing a safety mask as he looks through the eye visor at the piece of steel he was wielding together to form the frame of a Ice Cream maker which he was going to surprise the rest of the village with. He stops for a moment and lifts the mask to wipe the sweat from his blows before lowering the mask again to continue. On his workshop door hung a sign that said. "Keep out until you have a important reason to disturb my work!"

Just a tip for everyone sending in character sheets, please try to stay away from the following if possible:

* Run aways
* watching parents killed/roboticized
* being in any way roboticized, even partially
* Twins
* relatives of official characters
* clones
* supernatural creatures (vampires, werewolves and such)

These may be accepted if they're well written, but they're just generally overdone and unoriginal.
Your character will be more fun for everyone if you try to come up with something that hasn't already been done several times

I suppose the 'already existing character' benefit saves me from the things to avoid 3'rd and 4'th list snags. But I never take those lists seriously unless GM PC's follow them as well anyways. Way too many Magical or Roboticizedish GM PCs/NPCs waving that sign around in the past.

Good to see signs of life on the Board again though.

Not this GM, I don't ask any members to obey any rule that I don't follow myself.

Not surprised that you'll do just fine. I don't usually expect people to pull that until after the fact.
But considering the importing of previous characters, I find myself eying Blade 'reverse engineering proof mortal wound healing nanites' Claxston in case they turn up. A fact of existence made more face palm worthy considering I had been told a fancy crossbow was too technologically advanced for the setting back then.

While my grafted into Roboticized arm grappling hook was just fine of course. Sometimes crazy standards can work in your favor too I guess. Lance got Swat lasers in his arms so I was still tame by comparison.

I was always curious how Blade's near immortality via nanites slipped in since in my opinion that ability made Blade near unbeatable since in the long run he'd just heal from pretty much anything.

And since the rules page link has failed, although the file is still there, if anyone doesn't want to bother going to that group and viewing the rules under the files listing here they are with only minor spelling and grammatical updates:

*You will NOT argue with the GM's final decision!

Too many creeps will join a list purely for the purpose of spamming it with offensive links or junk posts.

This is a Sonic RP, and will contain ONLY Sonic characters.

You can make subtle references to them, but they won't physically manifest.

* NO superpowers
(Now this rule has gotten me a LOT of whining and griping in the past, mainly because very few people actually want to RP Sonic. They just want to play "My character's cooler than yours."
I'm keeping this rule, sorry. But I MAY let some things slip. Minor psychic powers or cybernetics MAY be allowed. But only if you research it and can make it believable. If you don't like this, then please refer to the first rule!)
No characters should have supernatural abilities. Sonic's speed, Tails' flight and double tails, and Knuckles' gliding and knuckles are unique. There will be no more characters with unusual features in this RP. Shadow is a special case and one of a kind.

*You May NOT Play any characters but your own.
Self explanatory.
Swifty the Hedgehog can aim a punch at Fluffy the Cat. But Swifty may NOT actually hit Fluffy without Fluffy's player's OK.
And Swifty beating Fluffy to a bloody pulp or killing Fluffy on a whim without Fluffy's player's permission will result in a warning and possible removal.

* Please try to Post Once a week.
Nobody will come after you if you can't post every day, but please try to post at least once a week, especially if you play a main character or are involved in a thread with someone else.

* NO RPing Until You're Approved
(Please send in a character sheet. If you want to play an existing character, then just write a short scene as that character to prove that you know how to play them - the sheet to fill out is under Files)
If you ignore this rule, you will be halted.

*Main Character Players MUST Be Active!
The RP grinds to a screeching halt when a main character goes silent for extended periods of time. If you are going to play a main character or even be considered for one, you MUST be set up to receive e-mails from this list.
If you are worried about clutter, you can sign up for the daily digest. Main character players who do not post for months on end, or set their account to no e-mail will have their characters taken away.
If you lose your role because of this rule, DO NOT GRIPE about it. You can work to get the part back by proving that you can be an active contributor to this roleplay.

*NO foul language or adult situations.

*Not ALL Characters are playable
Some characters, like Robotnik and other powerful baddies will NOT be playable by any one person.
They are considered NPCs (Non played characters)and will either be shared by the group as a whole, or controlled only by the GM or moderators.

* Please don't hold grudges.
(If you are frustrated with someone and keeping it bottled up, that's bound to cause trouble. Please share your peeves with the GM or a mod)
If you badmouth people behind their backs or post a hateful message, you will be warned and the offensive material will be deleted. Extreme cases of member attacks will result in banning.

I don't care if we've been best friends for years, all new members must fill out the same forms and obey the same rules. I do not play favorites. It doesn't mean I don't still love you, it's only fair. I'll lift the posting moderation for people who I trust to not spam the list, that's all.

I Was Just Wondering If I Could Be Manic Or Sonia. I Know That There Not From SatAM But There From Sonic Underground Which Is In The Same Style. I Would Much Rather Be Them Then My Fan Character I Posted. And I Promise I Won't Make Them Sing!

Well if you think that you can make it work, you can try.
I would recommend sticking to either characters from the SatAM (and possibly Archie) universe, or using your own fan characters though.

And let's not pick on anyone or their character here please. I'm no happier about nanites than anyone else, but it squeezed through the guidelines at the time.
Fortunately though I now have Seth helping, so hopefully we'll have an easier time enforcing the rules and tightening them where necessary.

she was origanaly a sonic underground character, but i have adapted her for mossleaf, and i think i can adapt her from this too... XDD
