Well, with the help of our lovely Moderator, Infractus, I have been hard at work editing our rules.

They are now long and scary looking, but really not so bad once you read them. It's mostly common sense, and I hope that you'll read them and say "Well, duh!"
A few rules have been inspired by mistakes made on this forum, but they are in no way meant to put anyone on the spot. No names are named, they are just rules that until now hadn't needed to be voiced.

So there's that, please read them as soon as you can.



Now the Christmas events are over, and I must say that I'm disappointed.
Not one entry for the Secret Santa project?
Nobody on this forum is worth even an MS Paint stick figure?
The Bah Humbugs did indeed strike, and they struck hard.
I'm a sad SiLK because of it, but I hope tat next year will have a better turnout.


You all know about my plushie plans. Well, I made Mini Jackle's head too small, so that's gone into my box of errors. I'll recycle it in the future if a chance comes up.
But that's delaying the dolls while I try to correct the size.
Mini NiGHTS is on the verge of finally having a home, and has been restitched in anticipation of the event.
Here's hoping that it goes through.

We had two new - I'm sorry, THREE new members join us this month!
The forum is becoming more active, and that makes me very happy.
So I would like to thank everyone who has been actively posting this month.

What's new for January?
Well I was speaking to infractus, and we agreed that some of the stories in our Arts section really weren't appropriate for the forum's rating.
However, I myself wrote a couple of the offending fanfics, and I don't really want to remove peoples' works anyway.

So instead you'll notice two new subsections. 'PG-13 and Up'
Please obey the ratings and stay out of those sections if you are underage.

Likewise, please censor yourselves when posting material.
From now on, any blood, death, violence, or anything that might possibly go over a PG rating, goes into the PG-13 and Up sections.



In other news, I am sorry to say that we are one member less now, as the person in question chose to post inappropriate content, then reacted rudely toward our notes asking them to stop, and finally asked to be deleted.
I've honored that wish.

But please, if you're bored of the forum, there are MUCH better (and more civil) ways to leave.
I hate to see anyone go, but I can change names, delete accounts, and more.
I will happily oblige anyone who asks.
And if something about this forum really bothers you, there's a Suggestion Box right in this Dreams for the Fandom section.
Please use it if you can think of anything that could use changing or adding!

The latest news is not happy news.
Recently, we've been having trouble with people making duplicate accounts.
Those accounts have been deleted and certain names with too many similarities are also being considered for deletion.

Please abide by our rules.
If there is a legitimate reason for two accounts to have the same IP, then please notify the admins BEFORE that account is created.
Otherwise, we will most likely delete it.

We do not need any more spammers on this forum.

The SPAMtastic! rank has finally come into use.
if you see anyone with this rank, it means that they have broken forum rules and posted either from multiple accounts, which is against forum rules, or they have posted unnecessary and repetitive posts.

Learn from these peoples' mistakes. Do NOT Spam!

I need to update this more often. . .
We had a couple of avatars removed this week. Please remember that our rules are strictly against any form of art theft.
Taking someone else's art and altering or gaining from it in any way is considered art theft, so please do not use other peoples' work in your avatars.
SiLK has been friendly with several of the better known NiGHTS artists, so she will know!

Last night I deleted the 'Alter the Picture Game' thread from the games section.
It had been sitting for almost two months, with no further interest.

I generally give threads about two months before deleting them, so if anyone wants to protect their thread, just keep it active. Do Not Bump, since posting just for the sake of having a post is not considered active. If there is no interest, even if the author still wants the thread, it will be deleted.
You can recreate the thread and give it another two months to try to gather interest.


Today I'm busy with an injured chicken, I patched her up myself this morning but I'll be focusing on her for the most part.
I will be on the forum as well though.

Threads are disappearing from the Write to Reala section, but don't be alarmed!
I'm only spring cleaning and taking out the questions that have already been answered.

The segment is still on hiatus, but i think that I've found an acceptable compromise.

A hacked account was deleted, please remember to protect yourselves from hacking by never downloading any suspicious files or even opening e-mails from anyone you don't know!

I've performed my monthly member sweep and added avatars to any accounts that were lacking one. I also switched some themes to Morpheus Purple.

We are once again, calling for moderators to step forward and demonstrate their abilities.
We are sadly lacking suitable candidates at this time, and could really use members with a keen eye and understanding nature to spot any problems or off topic posts and handle them accordingly.

Lastly, SiLK has a new look!
I love Gillwing, but it's fun to alternate avatars from time to time.

Hello again, my lovelies! It's time for yet another round of "What Has SiLK Been Up To?" The topic where SiLK tells you what's been changed around the forum!!

Today's topic is about images, I had to remove an image because it was hotlinked, and the site's anti hotlinking image was inappropriate.
Hotlinking by the way, is when you link to an image directly from the website, instead of saving it to your own server.
Please do not link to images from other websites, and be careful not to link to art that is not official, or that is not public domain.

Today I am performing my monthly(ish) sweep, looking through member profiles for art theft, inappropriate material, or signatures that are too large or hotlinked.
That sort of thing.

The check is now complete, some of you may notice that your themes or signatures have changed, where I upgraded you to our recommended theme, Morpheus Purple, or took unsuitable text out of your signature.
You may change these, but please keep it within the confines out our forum rules.

Be sure to keep your profiles clean and rule abiding, please!

Infractus and I would like to ask you to please reply to us when we send notes out.
Believe it or not, our job is not to bite the heads off of innocent members; we only want to keep things running smoothly and enforce the rules. We would much rather be your friends rather than your feared rulers.

If you receive a note correcting some recent post or behavior, please respond. Not replying only makes us wonder if you get the point or not.
We'll let up instantly if you just reply, saying that you understand and will abide by the rules.

Again, I have to ask that everyone read the forum rules and obey them. They're right at the top of this section!

I've had to deal with two duplicate accounts, and there's really no need for it.
If you lose your password, then you can contact me on Gaia or Youtube, or MSN and i can fix it for you.

If you have a sibling joining, that's fine. But warn me first!
I will not disable any accounts that have been identified to me as a sibling, though I may be suspicious if they are too similar to the original account.

Please remember that Infractus and I can see your IP.
We know your general location (the state and city), and we also know how many accounts are posting from that IP.

Trying to fool us only makes you look bad, so please spare us all the trouble and just obey the rules.


As a precaution, I will be going through the roster and checking every IP to see if there are any duplicates.
Please note that I am only looking for multiple accounts posting from the same IP. I'm not going to punish anyone for posting from different IPs.




On a happier note, we have a new section - Affiliates!
Here, I will pay tribute to the forums and websites who we are friendliest with.
If you wish to see an affiliate added, just send a note to SiLK.

Read them. Obey them. Don't force SiLK to be a grouchy Admin, SiLK doesn't like that role.


The rules clearly state, one account per member.
If your account is disabled, then there is a reason for it. NEVER recreate a disabled account, you will only succeed in getting that account disabled, and possibly getting yourself and everyone sharing your IP banned.

Hi all, it's time for another yawningly exciting episode of 'What Has SiLK Been Up To?"
First the bad. . . we had a duplicate account, and the person responsible failed to reply to my PM, so sadly that account has been deleted.
Once a duplicate IP is found, the main account is contacted and that person has 24 hours to respond, or else the illegal account is removed.
I gave this person four days with no response.

Please respect our rules, one account per member!
If you have a sibling who wants to join, you need to contact Infractus or me first so that we know that it's legitimate.

It's really not that difficult to read and follow the rules, we don't ask for anything unfair.

Okay, now the good news!
Um. . . look, a butterfly!

Okay, SiLK is busy with ebay and commissions right now because it's kind of hard to be an admin when the internet might be shut down due to me having no money. . . so I'm going to plug myself here and say please commission me to make dolls! I also make NiGHTS and Reala vests for dolls.
