This is a point that I would like to disscuss. Most people I know hates Valentine's Day. Mostly for the reason that they are all lonely people who do not have any boyfriends or girlfriends.
Personally, I don't care. I would celebrate it if I did have a boyfriends, but I never had one...at eighteen years old. Anyways! I would like your opinions on how the majority call Valentine's Day, "The Worst Holiday Ever." I even have a poll!

I think that the Valentines hate comes from the mentality that everyone needs a boyfriend/girlfriend in order to prove their worth.
I don't believe in that, people can stand just as strongly on their own, if not moreso.
Besides, it's hardly a major holiday. People can choose to ignore it if it bothers them.

I like Valentine's Day, but it's not because of me, because I have nobody to celebrate it with... But I'm happy to see others happy. I'll probably be like MagicPickleFairy, with no girlfriends until after I am 18 years old... Well, I had one, but it didn't count.

I dislike it because a year ago I had something happen to me that involved a boy. It happened a couple of days before Valentine's day, so I'm sore about it...

I never cared for Valentine's Day...but Ienjoy getting chocolate from my folks.
I've never had a boyfriend and i'll probably be married before I get one.
Besides, Valentine's Day was not originally a holiday for lovers, it's for doing kind things for family, friends, and even strangers.
So, on that note...

Shut up, Puff. I think Valentines day shouldn't be looked at for a couples Holiday but more of a close ties holiday. I normally give valentines to friends and such.
It is one of the days with high suicide rates though...
